Celebrating the triumphs and remembering the best moments from 2019
Step aside, Will Ferrell, Bruce Willis and Tim Allen – CB&A’s furry friends are stealing the spotlight in this year’s movie-themed holiday card. To our paw-some clients, friends and partners, CB&A is extremely purr-oud of the great work we accomplished together this year!
A Year of Adventures
During the past year, CB&A team members traveled across the globe, touching down in Nepal, Amsterdam, Paris, Belgium, London, Canada and the Caribbean. We also enjoyed education conferences and domestic travel to Philadelphia, Portland, Denver, Boston, Detroit and Chicago. It was truly a whirlwind of traveling to explore, learn and support clients.
Closer to home, we found ourselves at a few Madison coffeeshop faves, including Lakeside Coffee, Java Cat, and Crema Cafe. During happy hour events, we took the party to a wide range of venues and breweries, including The Biergarten at Olbrich Park, Barley Pop, Next Door Brewing, the Eastside Club’s Tiki Bar, Rockhound Brewing and Working Draft Beer Company. How Wisconsin of us!
Team-building, volunteer and professional development activities galore
We’re a tight-knit bunch. An ample mix of awesome activities provided some bonding time, including making our way through Treinen Farm’s famous corn maze, boating around Lake Mendota, and buzzing around the town during several evenings of shenanigans and fun!
On the professional development front, not only did staff attend national conferences like HubSpot Inbound and Content Marketing Jam, but we also attended leadership courses at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and via local organizations like AMA Madison and the Madison PRSA chapter.
The team also jumped on a few volunteer opportunities, working with Books for the World, participating in an Earth Day clean-up in our Monona neighborhood, and holding both board positions and volunteer seats in the Madison American Marketing Association.
Taking home all the awards
Although we enjoyed the fun and games; 2019 was also successful on a professional level. CB&A took home a whopping nine PRSA Alchemy Awards, including Best in Show for our work with Illuminate Education during its mega-merger. EdTech Digest recognized CB&A as a top edtech PR firm, and our fearless leader Charlene Blohm was named an EdTech Digest EdTech Founder/CEO finalist.
And, there’s one more achievement that exemplifies our success in working as a team – CB&A was recognized on Madison Magazine’s annual ‘Best Places to Work’ list! Ultimately, we want to send out a huge thank you to our partners and colleagues for making 2019 an excellent, productive year. Here’s to more successes in 2020 and beyond!
