As an education marketing agency, CB&A will be in Austin Feb. 3–7 for TCEA 2014 and Texas’ capital city will soon be bustling with the latest ed tech buzzwords, hastily written hashtags, and widening networking webs.

But when the conference floor closes for the day, attendees will spend their nights “keeping Austin weird”.

Whether you’re a foodie, a cocktail drinker or a music enthusiast, there’s a place for you among the pivotal late night hot spots we’ve collected for a perfect Austin experience.

For the Foodie

For Austin’s best burger, check out Hut’s Hamburger, located on downtown Sixth Street. Hut’s is known for its friendly atmosphere and over-the-top burgers. (Try the “Fats Domino”: spicy New Orleans rub, jalapeno cheddar cheese and a ton of toppings!) Those looking for a more tradition Austin taste stop by Salt-Lick Bar-B-Que for a home-style meal sure to leave some saucy stains on your face.

For the Cocktail-er

Swing by the Midnight Cowboy to enjoy some of Austin’s most creative cocktails. With drinks like the Pisco Sourgrass and the Golden Gate Swizzle, you may not know what you’re getting into, but you’ll have an entertaining time getting out.

For the Rock n’ Roller

Take in the electrifying piano playing at Pete’s Dueling Piano Bar, or tell your colleagues you’re heading there, but take a detour by The Common Interest first. Here you can challenge some strangers to a karaoke sing-off without worrying about embarrassing yourself in front of your co-workers.

There’s plenty to explore in the city, for more options, visit https://www.statesman.com/austin360/ , or http://www.austincityguide.com/.

See you on the town! And remember, keep Austin weird.
