What to Expect: ISTE 2016

By June 23, 2016September 20th, 2020No Comments

June is always an exciting time for the CB&A team, partially because the Late Blohmers blossom on the volleyball court every Wednesday night – but mostly because it’s ISTE month. We’ve spent countless hours strategizing ways to provide our clients with the best experience possible, and it’s FINALLY (well, almost) here. ISTE will be packed with client meetings, exhibit hall demonstrations, sightings of the Big Blue Bear and much more. Here’s a sneak peek of what awaits:

What we’ll be up to during the day:

We’re hosting the second annual series of BuzzHub events. BuzzHub offers companies a variety of exclusive opportunities to meet with top-tier media, bloggers and industry VIPs.

  • The week kicks off with Speed Meetings. These quick-hitting meetings offer vendors a chance to connect with editorial and paid media reps to showcase their ISTE news.
  • Next up is Hear Here. This event features intimate focus groups where vendors have the chance to build relationships with educators and glean insights about market trends.
  • Tuesday’s marquee event is Trending Now, an educator-led roundtable discussion about hot education issues. Among a range of topics, the conversation will touch on makerspaces, coding in elementary education, E-rate program shakeups and professional learning.
  • Throughout the run of ISTE, we’ll be conducting Interact Now meetings, which are opportunities for our clients to have in-depth conversations with select journalists.

What’s happening at night:

But it’s not all work. We’re going to get out in Denver and enjoy ourselves a bit. It’s no secret Denver has a reputation for good food, local brews and regional specialties. We’ll do our best to consume as many Voodoo Doughnuts (along with many cups of coffee) as humanly possible while we’re there.

We’ll be sure to snap a few photos with the 40-foot Blue Bear, who apparently received a makeover since the last time we visited. Falling Rock Tap House is on the list as well, and we can’t wait to finish up the week with a good beer.

Know of some hoppin’ Denver hot spots we should check out? Let us know in the comments.
