By September 7, 2015October 11th, 2017No Comments

As summer 2015 comes to a close, the team wanted to share some of their favorite memories from the past three months. There was no shortage of excitement for the CB&A team as many of us spent time doing the things we love. We’ve highlighted some of these moments below and would also love to hear what you’ve been up to this summer, feel free to add your own memories in the comments section. Check back later for part II of the summer recap series.

As usual, I spent a lot of time at lakes this summer. One of my favorite weekends was when my parents and some friends converged at a family friend’s house on Lake Mendota. We water skied, relaxed on their beach and ate delicious summer food.

We took a day trip to Six Flags Great America with my niece Madeline. Despite a few coaster breakdowns, we had a busy and fun day. Our favorite attractions included American Eagle, Raging Bull and The Big Drop.

This summer my family made the first of many pilgrimages to Lambeau Field, home of the Green Bay Packers. Our son Arlo, aka little Aaron, had a blast at his first “game” alongside more than 65,000 fans who attended the sold-out Family Night practice. And in case you’re wondering, Arlo already has reserved his place on the season ticket waiting list.

Screen Shot 2015-08-31 at 10.26.53 AMDuring the first week of August, I struck out west to go visit some friends and family in Denver. Along the way I stopped at Badlands National Park and spent the day hiking and driving through the park, experiencing some of the most beautiful scenic views I’ve even seen.

My favorite memory of the summer was competing in the Inland Lake Yacht Association annual championship held on Lake Geneva, Wis. I had a blast getting back out on the water and being in the breeze with great friends. I came back with a lot of bruises and a killer sunglasses tan, but it’s always worth it.

My favorite summer memory was going to a concert with my friend downtown at The Orpheum. There were four different bands that performed including two of my favorite bands, Needtobreathe and Ben Rector. After the concert, my friend and I decided to grab a drink. As we walked in, we realized that two of the bands were eating at the bar! I awkwardly asked for a picture and let them get back to their dinner. (Pictured: Cody Fry, Ben Rector, Me, Drew Holcomb)
