CB&A is an education pr agency.

As the summer winds down, the team took some time to remember our favorite memories of the season. If you have any special memories, please share with us! Sit back and enjoy a few of ours and check back next week for part two!

Outstanding in the Field
Emily Embury, Account Supervisor

In honor of my mom’s birthday, my family took a surprise limo ride to Outstanding in the Field, a roving culinary adventure. The organization seeks to re-connect diners to the land and the origins of their food, and to honor the localfarmers and food artisans who cultivate it. We had the pleasure of touring Shooting Star Farm in Mineral Point and dining on local ingredients prepared by James Beard Award winner Tory Miller. Sharing this unique experience with my family – a delectable meal surrounded by rolling countryside – was by far the highlight of my summer.

Saul Hafenbredl, Account Manager

My favorite summer activity is exploring Madison’s amazing collection of public parks. If you’re downtown, James Madison Park and Vilas Park (adjacent to Madison’s Henry Vilas Zoo) are two of the best spots to enjoy the lakefront. A favorite for our yellow lab, Cherokee Marsh is a natural resource site with a 20-acre pet exercise and swimming area. But the park closest to my heart (and home) is the rural Door Creek Park on Madison’s far east side.

Lauren Kiesow, PR/Account Coordinator

My favorite memory from this summer would be our engagement shoot. We did one in winter, but wanted to have a summer one as well. It was hot, but it was another aspect of getting our wedding together, and we ended the night at the terrace with some snacks, adult beverages and live music. So that was fun.

Martha Jacobs, Administrative & Project Coordinator

The thing that sticks out for me most this summer was our trip to my family’s cabin in Pickerel, WI. We spent the long Fourth of July weekend on the lake, around the campfire and celebrating together as a family with our beagle, Millie. Something about the north woods always creates a sense of calm and rejuvenation – what a great weekend.
