CB&A, Arc Capital Development and Academic Business Advisors to Share Expertise at SETDA Emerging Technologies Forum

Channel Partners to mentor, provide marketing insights to edtech startups

Madison, Wis. (June 13, 2017) – SETDA, the principal nonprofit membership association representing U.S. state and territorial educational technology leaders, invites three leading firms to mentor rising technology companies at the Emerging Technologies Forum. Academic Business Advisors, Arc Capital Development and C. Blohm & Associates (CB&A) will lead a robust, daylong workshop that gives seasoned marketing and business development advice to up-and-coming edtech vendors.

This year marks the fifth annual Emerging Technologies Forum, a venue for state members and private sector entrepreneurs to attend workshops and discuss contemporary edtech topics with industry professionals. Nine developing companies will learn from Mitch Weisburgh of Academic Business Advisors, Kevin Custer of Arc Capital Development, and Charlene Blohm of CB&A. Forum attendees were selected from a pool of applicants who demonstrated their capacity to leverage technology and to serve a need in pre-K-12 education:

"Working with emerging companies is a vital part of SETDA's Private Sector Partnership program,” according to Dr. Tracy Weeks, SETDA Executive Director. “This collaboration allows state leaders to have a first look at new technologies for education and enables these growing companies to get in front of multiple states while learning more about needs across the country."

The nine-company cohort will have the opportunity to benefit from the Forum speakers’ deep experience in the edtech industry, and engage with state leaders, affiliates and annual partners over the next 12 months. For more information about the event, visit http://etforum.setda.org/#!/overview.
