Named CODiE Awards Finalist

Online Subscription Service Recognized in
“Best Mathematics Instructional Solutions” Category

Emeryville, Calif. (Mar. 3, 2009) – The Software & Information Industry Association (SIIA) announced that The Key to Tracker™ from Key Curriculum Press® is a 2009 CODiE Awards finalist for the “Best Mathematics Instructional Solution” category. Established in 1986, the CODiE Awards celebrate outstanding achievement and vision in the software, digital information and education technology industries.

The Key to Tracker is an online subscription service that serves as the companion to the Key to…® workbooks. The Key to Tracker helps teachers improve their students’ basic math skills and monitor their progress as they work on fractions, decimals, percents, and algebra in their Key to… workbooks. Computer-graded assessments save teachers time, and instant feedback motivates students to keep learning. For more information, visit www.keypress.com/tracker.

“At Key Curriculum Press, we’re committed to supporting teachers with technology that engages students and brings math to life,” said Karen Coe, president of Key Curriculum Press. “The Key to Tracker is a fun, affordable way for teachers to help their students learn fundamental math skills. We’re proud that it’s being recognized.”

According to SIIA President Ken Wasch, “The competition is particularly steep this year during the 24th Annual SIIA CODiE Awards, making selection as a finalist a real achievement.” Wasch further added that “All the companies on this year’s list of CODiE finalists should feel justifiably proud of their accomplishment in making it to this stage, and have much excitement to look forward to regarding the upcoming CODiE Awards voting.”

The CODiE Awards hold the distinction of being the only peer-recognition awards program of its kind in the industry, providing a unique opportunity for companies to earn the praise of their competitors. This year, more than 850 nominations were submitted by 600 companies, from which 345 distinguished finalists were selected by a panel of expert judges.

The 24th Annual CODiE Awards will be presented May 5, 2009, in San Francisco.
