Funds For Learning Launches 2nd Annual Survey
of E-rate Applicants

Survey to Assess Applicants’ Attitudes and Opinions to Help Improve the E-rate Program

Edmond, Okla. (March 16, 2009)Funds For Learning, the nation’s leading E-rate funding compliance services firm, announces the launch of the Second Annual National E-rate Survey. The survey will assess applicants’ attitudes and opinions about the E-rate program, and identify its key strengths and challenges.

Survey results will be released in June on the Funds For Learning Web site, and sent to members of Congress, the Federal Communications Commission and the Universal Service Administrative Company’s Schools and Libraries Division. As with last year’s survey, the feedback garnered will help shape the future of the program, and will lead to changes and improvements that will benefit the entire E-rate community.

The survey will run through the end of April. It will consist of up to 33 questions, and will take about 15 minutes to complete. Individuals who have submitted E-rate applications for a school or library are welcome to participate. The results will remain anonymous and be reported in aggregate form only.

In addition, survey participants will be invited to engage in a national online discussion about the E-rate program to elicit more specific feedback. Scheduled to take place in May, the online discussion will be organized to generate group interaction. Participants will be asked to address questions posed by a moderator, and to discuss the responses of other contributors.

In return for completing the survey, Funds For Learning will offer participants three months of free access to its E-rate Manager for Applicants. The online suite of tools enables applicants to stay on top of fluctuating deadlines and paperwork, track remaining E-rate funding, monitor sites where funding is used, and respond to E-rate program auditors. A three-month subscription will be given to each qualifying institution, and participants must answer all questions to be eligible.

To participate in the survey, visit www.fundsforlearning.com/survey before April 30.
