Silver Spring, Md. (June 25, 2008) – Supporting ELL and world language educators and students, Discovery Education announced today that Discovery Education streaming customers now have the option to purchase an additional 1,000 high-quality titles spanning 30 languages, including Arabic, Chinese, Brazilian Portuguese, Hebrew, Hindi, and Spanish.

Discovery Education’s Curriculum Development team has reviewed these videos to ensure appropriateness for K-12 classrooms and has correlated this new media to existing state standards.
Among the new titles are videos from Corwin’s Quest, Smash Lab and Fearless Planet. In addition, hard-to-find resources in Chinese and Arabic are now accessible to teachers and students. More than 100 videos in Mandarin, Complex Chinese and Simple Chinese and 25 Arabic-language titles including videos from the series What the Ancients Knew, Some Assembly Required and Chasing Nature are available.
