SIIA is accepting applications for its Innovation Incubator program until September 26. The program identifies and supports entrepreneurs in the development and launch of innovative learning technologies. Selected participants will be invited to present at the 14th annual SIIA Education Business Forum in New York. Finalists will be scored on true innovation, market need/solving a problem in education and the ability to be successful. more

SIIA Releases 2014 Vision K-20 Survey Report

The Software & Information Industry Association releases the 2014 Vision K-20 Survey Report, its seventh annual national survey measuring U.S. education institutions’ self-reported progress toward building a framework that embraces technology and e-learning. The findings, which were presented at a press event during ISTE, suggest that K-20 education institutions are striving more for digital educational goals. Other findings include a gap in current and ideal levels of technology integration and an expected increase in the use of BYOD technology. more

SIIA Honors Industry Veterans with Lifetime Achievement Award and Ed Tech Impact Award

The Education Division of the Software & Information Industry Association (SIIA) honors Dr. Leonard Hall and Sue Collins with the Lifetime Achievement and Ed Tech Impact Award, respectively. Dr. Hall, co-founder of education companies SkillsBank Corporation and Impact Education, and Collins, principal at CollinsConsults, will receive their awards during the upcoming Education Industry Summit, held May 12-14 in San Francisco.
