SIIA Estimates $8.38 Billion US Market for PreK-12 Educational Software and Digital Content

The Education Technology Industry Network of SIIA releases its “ 2014 U.S. Education Technology Industry Market: PreK-12 Report.” Collected from 144 service providers and publishers, the survey data indicate the PreK-12 non-hardware ed tech market has increased from $7.9 billion to $8.38 billion. The survey also reveals that revenues from Online Courses grew 320 percent. At $2.5 billion, Testing and Assessment was the largest single category of any market segment. more

Cogent Education Announced as Winner of 2015 FETC Goldfish Tank Innovators Competition

The Education Technology Industry Network of SIIA and 1105 Media, Inc. announce Cogent Education as the Goldfish Tank Innovators Competition winner at FETC in Orlando, Florida. Selected from a group of five finalists, Cogent Education was voted most innovative and likely to be used in the classroom by conference attendees. More than 20 applicants were assessed for the competition based on a broad range of criteria by industry leaders and educators around the globe. more

Ed Tech Pioneers Announced as Finalists for 2015 FETC Goldfish Tank Innovators Competition

The Education Technology Industry Network (ETIN) of the Software & Information Industry Association (SIIA) and 1105 Media, Inc. announce finalists for the 2015 FETC Goldfish Tank Innovators Competition. Since 2013 the program has identified and supported entrepreneurs in their development and distribution of innovative learning technologies. Finalists were selected based on how likely the product would be used in classrooms and how innovative the solution is. They will present on Friday, January 23 during the annual FETC Conference in Orlando. more

Leaders Forecast Market Trends at SIIA Education Business Forum

Education technology leaders met in New York City this month at SIIA’s 2014 Education Business Forum to discuss strategies to raise revenue and profitability in the digital learning market.
